Tuthill Performance Savings Program/ Hourly Employees Pension Plan- Retirement Plans
The Tuthill Performance Savings Program, our employees' retirement program, is comprised of two primary components, the 401(k) Account and the Performance Account (for those eligible). Tuthill also offers an Hourly Employees Pension Plan for those who work at a location that has a bargained agreement through their union contract.
401(k) Account
Tuthill Corporation offers regular, full time, non-union employees the opportunity to participate in the company 401(k) Plan immediately upon date of hire. New employees are automatically enrolled at 2% of pay. Employees can invest up to 50% of their gross salary in the Plan (up to the IRS limit each year). Tuthill will a variety of diverse investment fund options, available through Hewitt and Northern Trust.
Performance Account
The company will credit regular, full time, non-union, employee's accounts each year with contributions based on the current financial success of their Tuthill Line of Business. This account supports the corporate strategy and truly rewards outstanding performance. If an employee's Line of Business meets an expected financial goal, the employee's account will be credited with a contribution. Employees are vested each year in accordance with plans provisions. Employees have the ability to take the entire account balance with them when they leave.
Hourly Employees Pension Plan
The company will provide each facility that is part of a bargaining unit, and has bargained for this benefit in their contract, a negotiated benefit multiplier amount for each year of service once an employee completes 5 years of vested/credited service, in accordance with the plans provisions, to assist with their retirement needs.
Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability
Tuthill Corporation provides Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability to eligible employees. Employees will also be able to elect additional amounts of life insurance for themselves and dependents through a supplemental insurance program.
Health, Vision and Dental Insurance
Tuthill Corporation provides group health and vision coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Our health plan is a "Preferred Provider Organization" (PPO) and coverage will begin on the first of the month following your start date.
There are three levels of PPO health plans available; all include a prescription drug plan. An opt out option is offered for those who have health care coverage elsewhere.
In some locations, an HMO option is available.
The dental plan is administered through MetLife and offers a network of Preferred Dentists. The plan pays 100% on preventive, 80% for basic service and 50% for major service and orthodontic.
Flexible Spending Account
Tuthill offers Flexible Spending Account Plans for health care and dependent care expenses. These plans are administered through PayFlex. These plans allow employee's to pay for eligible out of pocket costs using pre-tax dollars deducted from their pay, following the rules and regulations set in place by the IRS.
Education Assistance
Tuthill Corporation will reimburse the cost of tuition, books and fees, towards a degreed program or courses in an employee's job specific area, up to flat dollar amount per calendar year. Employees are eligible to apply for this benefit after six months of continuous employment.
