GlobalGear® is a new generation of robust internal gear pumps designed for pump and sealing reliability with low maintenance requirements. Shaft and bearing diameters and construction materials have been selected to reduce deflection and increase strength which in turn increases bearing and seal life. Thrust bearings are no maintenance lube for life construction. Standard construction includes high strength rotor and idler materials, and for stainless units, galling resistant grades of stainless steel are used for rotor heads and idlers.
No leakage solutions are no problem with a choice of cartridge and component mechanical seal options including Tuffseall™ cartridge lip seal technology. API Plan 13 internal vent to suction bypass as a standard available feature. The API Plan 13 bypass reduces stuffing box pressure and provides recirculation for seal cooling which serves to extend seal life.
Highly customizable GlobalGear® pumps meet the requirements of specific applications. Examples are configurations utilizing the back pull-out feature for API 676 rotary positive displacement pump specification units, hardened wetted parts materials for abrasive fluid duties, special materials of construction for high temperature requirements up to 600º F, designs for high suction pressure requirements up to 600 psig, and configurations for high side loads associated with belt driven configurations.
Modular porting allows the pump to easily adapt port size and type of connection in the user's piping system including metric and high pressure flanges. A variety of accessory features such as heat jackets and relief valves are offered. Wetted parts construction is available in cast iron, cast steel, and stainless steel.
