On September 21, 2007, Tuthill Corporation signed an agreement with PaperThin, Inc. to use their Web Content Management System (WCMS) known as CommonSpot Content Server.  After evaluating several WCMS vendors PaperThin's CommonSpot solution came out above the rest of the vendors based on it's high scores in key categories such as ease of use, customizable workflow, globalization, time-to-implement, technology platform, and overall value.

Web Content Management Systems are used for creating, managing, storing, and deploying web content through the use of web-based tools.  They empower business users with the ability to perform these tasks without needing advanced technical skills.  A WCMS catalogs and indexes content along with delivering it in a personalized manner or in different languages.

CommonSpot 5.0, PaperThin's latest product release, offers much new functionality over it's previous release including blogs, RSS feeds, support for Adobe's ColdFusion 8 server-side technology, and a much more intuitive interface.  Because of these improvements, Tuthill hopes to realize the following benefits when they launch their newly redesigned site in November of 2007.

  • Faster time to market for all web content by reducing bottlenecks and enabling business users to publish their own material
  • Elimination of waste due to standardized content publishing processes such as translation and content approval
  • Improved customer experience because of personalized content
  • Digital asset management
  • Enhanced site search
  • Simplified and consistent tagging for web analytics solution

In 2008 Tuthill plans to produce content in several languages, consolidate it's nine current websites into one, and to migrate their home-grown company Intranet site to PaperThin's CommonSpot Content Server.
