Louisville, KY – March 27, 2008 – Mid-America Trucking Show. Reyco Granning® – a commercial vehicle suspension product line of Tuthill Transport Technologies – has announced two new suspension systems for heavy duty, off-road vehicles. The 23K and 30K suspensions both incorporate unique axle connections that distribute the load more evenly, over a wide footprint. Both are designed for durability and a better ride.
The 23K is engineered for all standard heavy duty trailer applications, including platforms and drop decks, dump trailers, tankers, livestock and grain trailers, container chassis, and fixed-axle vans. Its tri-functional bushings at pivot points improve ride stability and driver comfort. An induction hardened camshaft system produces less suspension wear and longer operational life.
The 30K is manufactured for heavy-haul vehicles such as those used in logging and mining, but the suspension is also appropriate for tankers, livestock and grain trailers, and container chassis. Its beams and axles are designed to live longer in off-road and other applications. Weld and bolt-on connections at popular ride heights allow for a more stable, comfortable driver experience.
Braking systems are critical components with heavy duty, off-road vehicles and the 23K suspension includes full ABS in SAE position and extended life 16.5" x 7" brake shoes as standard equipment.
The 30K suspension is also equipped with extended life, 16.5" x 7" brake shoes. No brake chamber or cam bracket on the axle helps removes stress.
"For performance and price point, there isn't a better product on the market than the 23K or 30K Fixed Axle Air Ride," said Greg Richardson, Vice President of Engineering. "Depending on your application, either suspension provides the toughness, durability, and the long life you demand of your vehicles."
